There was a large stain on the wall in the second bedroom next to the dresser that either has never been cleaned or is stained to the point of needing a fresh coat of paint. My primary reason for the stars is the inflexibility of the host. I had originally booked the house for Duke Family Weekend and booked Friday to Sunday. Realizing that I may need to be on campus early Friday,  I extended my stay to a Thursday check in. The week of the event, I knew I was not going to need a Thursday check in but was beyond my cancellation period, so I didn't request a cancellation. I did need a late check out. So I figured I'd ask explaining that I was not coming until late Friday afternoon and could he let us check out 5 hours late (I assumed he'd negotiate that time frame). Instead he charged us $75 for an extra night. I had already paid for a day we weren't using and we checked in after 5p on Friday." (6/5)
